This is Sessle the cow. I drew him at work a few weeks ago, and we've been adding details for a while. My manager named him, and I wrote out the name how I thought it would be spelled, but then he got mad because apparently I spelled it very very wrong. He now hangs next to our boxes, for everybody to see.
Duck Tank Top Again!! (March 12)
I am almost done with the top! I just have to sew the bottom seam.
Duck Tank Top (March 5)
This is one of my most important art projects to date. I found this beautiful duck fabric tucked away in the closet, and knew I needed to make a shirt out of it. I sewed the sides together, then sewed on some straps, and now I'm working on sewing a seam along the top. I'm kind of thinking I'll wear it to graduation ;)
Beaded Bracelet (January 29)
Sometimes I call people "shawty", so I made it into a bracelet. I braided together some string so it would be stronger, then I put the beads on there. The A bead is actually a V bead, with a line drawn across it. There were no A beads left. I am happy with the result, mostly because it can be a conversation starter.
Coasters (January 13)
These are the coasters I made for my mom, I finally finished them! All I have left to do is Mod Podge them.
Wire ring (January 12)
I recently taught myself how to make my own rings. I started by using a nail polish cap to wrap the wire around, because they are about the same size. Then, I strung the bead through and wrapped the ring together. The only issue I have had was getting the size right. I think it turned out pretty well, and it fits right too.
Painting Coasters for my Mom (December 9)
My mom's birthday was in October, and I started painting these coasters for her, but lost motivation and haven't worked on them in a while. This is the first one that I started again. I am painting the flowers in acrylic, then I am going to coat the whole thing in Mod Podge.
Shampoo Man (December 2)
I did this work of absolute art in a zoom call with some friends. We were doing a drawing competition, and the prompt was "make a household item lifelike". The first thing I thought of was shampoo, and I went from there. I sketched him out in pen, then gave him some swim bottoms and colored them in. I think he turned out beautiful, and I won the competition.
My House Painting! (November 12)
I started this painting for my mom's birthday a few weeks ago, and forgot to post the final product until now. My mom loves our little house, and has gotten very into watercolor painting, so I thought I would paint her the house. I sketched it out, went over it with pen, then painted over it with watercolor paint and markers. I love how it turned out, I think it pretty accurately captures our house!
"Rough Face"
We are currently online for school, so I haven't had a ton of art progress recently. On Monday, we all had to draw this face with Mrs. Niesen, and email it to her. It only took me a few minutes, and as you can see, it is VERY rough. The eyes are much too big, and there is no hair. He is a bald man. FIguring out the proportions of the face was the most difficult part.
"Big Sean"
This is Big Sean. He is inspired off of "Balloony" from Phineas and Ferb. I let my soul guide me while I created this piece. Therefore, there were no struggles.
House Painting, October 8th
My mom's birthday is next week, and one of the things I'm doing is drawing and painting our house for her. This is a very rough sketch of it, but I think it's going okay so far. I'm finding it very difficult to get the proportions right.
